I’ve been insanely busy lately with both my directories work and my new (super exciting) gig reviewing for The Stage. Dark Dates is delighted to welcome author Anne Hamilton, who kindly stopped by to answer some questions and talk about her book, A Blonde Bengali Wife – the proceeds from which go to the educational charity Bhola’s Children. Another present from Liberty stationery hall (I don’t buy myself Lacroix!)
Y’all know I love a Moleskine (I was just tidying my shelves and I have… um, a few). I also, for weird and sentimental reasons, have an abiding love for the aliens from the film Toy Story. So when I found out Moleskine was doing a limited edition Toy Story range, I just had to […]

This House of Hackney notebook (which I got for Christmas) is a beauty – hardback, lined, and big enough to use as a weapon if you wanted to. Not that you would, obvs.
I get a lot of scepticism about my notebook collection. Some of it justified: I love an expensive notebook, to the bafflement of some of my friends (“it’s just bloody paper!” one exclaimed, despairing, when I was trying to justify some pricey purchase), and I am ridiculously picky about what I write my first and […]
